Christmas With The Consort

It is a joy to once again bring the community our traditional Christmas Concerts with opening carols and candlelight processional, brass quintet, organ, and beautiful choral music for the season.

These performances feature the Virginia Consort’s Chamber Ensemble and Youth Chorale, singing music of Bach, Handel, Rachmaninoff, Rutter, Gjeilo and more. With the warm glow of candlelight and stained glass, this is a perfect way to mark the season!

Parking Options for the Christ Episcopal church/downtown area

Plan to arrive early to give your party enough time to park!

The bulleted items in bold refer to blocks highlighted on the diagram below:

Street Parking on the surrounding streets. You may find a spot close by. There are handicap spaces on the 2nd Street NW side of Christ Church.

H: a small lot (holds about 9 cars) on the same block as Christ Episcopal on the southeast corner. This parking is for people that are less capable of walking distances.
H&W: Hill & Wood funeral home. As long as there isn’t a funeral going on and the lot does not have a sign blocking parking, you should be good to park here.
Albemarle County: Office buildings. West of church on McIntire Rd. Parking is free on the weekends. 6 minute walk from the church (according to Google).
Carter Center Bank: West of the church, a few blocks away at the intersection of Ridge McIntire Rd. and W. Market St. Carolers have parked here in the past. Check signage for parking availability before parking here! 7 minute walk from the church (according to Google).
Methodist Church: Corner of E High St. and 2nd St NE, marked in yellow.
Hamiltons & Air Garage: Pay parking. There’s a sign in the lot with instructions on how to pay from your phone (ParkMobile &/or AirGarage)
Market St. Garage: 7 minute walk from the church (according to Google).
Water St. Garage: 7 minute walk from the church (according to Google).
