A Little May Music
Join us Saturday, May 08, 2027 at 5:30pm for “A Little May Music”!
St. Paul’s Memorial Church, 1701 University Avenue, Charlottesville, VA
An eclectic program of choral music in the opulent acoustic of St. Paul's Memorial Church, featuring The Virginia Consort Chamber Chorus and Youth Chorale with piano and organ.
This year’s May concert features “water music” – including choral pieces where water is central to the text and music. Water is a deeply evocative theme, used by composers to represent life, change, destruction, healing and cleansing. Featured works include well-known settings of Shenandoah and Loch Lomond, Shawn Kirchner’s Sweet Rivers, folk songs, spirituals, and more!
